Linda and myself with our daughter spent a great week in Milatos. The 2 appartments we had were above our expectations.
If you want a holiday away from the crowds this is definateley a place I would recomend. The local restaurants are all excellent, but of them all go to Socrates. He cooks the fish himself and he is an excellent host.
You certainly can dio with a car to explore the island as there are only 2 buses which go early in the morning. You can walk to Sssi along the coastal road probably about an hour.
Maria and Vagelis, the owners are very friendly and speak excellent English.
Turn left along the front to the small hotel and you are welcome to use their pool, most of the time we had it to ourselves.
